Our Club

Our Club caters for a wide range of player, from those interested in relaxed friendly Rollups and internal club competitions, to those who like to participate in competitive County, District and Local Club leagues.
Our Club has qualified coaches to meet different levels of training requirements.

New To Bowls

Bowls is a sociable, friendly and (at advanced level) challenging game which is both good exercise and fun.
You are most welcome to come and watch us play, to join us for a trial session or to sign up for our FREE training programme.  All you need when playing is to wear shoes with flat soles.

Events

Bowls Open Weekend 2026

Our Club will be hosting its Bowls Open Weekend from 10am to 12 noon on Saturday 16 May and Sunday 17 May. Last year’s Open Event was a most successful weekend, attracting over 40 visitors and we recruited many new members. Our specially prepared Bowls Trail was very popular and gave our guests a taste of this fun and sociable outdoor sport.

External Champions

For those interested in competing in higher level matches why not follow in the footsteps of our 2022 Ladies Champion Anne .  In August 2023 Anne progressed to the Middlesex Champion of Champions Competition and beat all comers to take the Trophy.  Well done Anne.  We are proud of you.

Anne also won the 2023 Finchley and North London Bowls Association (F&NLBA)  Ladies Singles 2 Woods Competition.

Other external 2023 winners from our club include Julia who played in a Triples Team which won the F&NLBA Triples Competition.

In 2024 our club won the Prestigious F&NLBA President’s Cup.  Well done Anthony, Chris, David and Tiny.  And additionally congratulations to our two Davids, and Stephen who together won the F&NLBA Mens Triples Competition. 

Pre-Season Workshops

The Club holds special workshops just before the start of each season to refresh our players on their bowling skills and techniques, measuring and marking rules, and any updates on the Laws of the Sport.

We aim to get our players READY and KEEN to start bowling again and enjoy the outdoors!

Coaching Sessions

Our Club provides FREE training programme for those new to bowls, as well as for those current players seeking to improve their game. We have qualified coaches at our Club.

Parkinson’s Bowlers

We host a weekly bowls session for the Enfield Parkinson’s Society on Thursdays between 10am and 12noon. Our members assist with setting up and closing the green for the bowlers.

Winter Activities

Lawn Bowls is a Summer Sport but we also offer a range of activities through the winter.  These include:

  • Indoor Bowls Sessions
  • Weekly Darts Evenings
  • Twice Weekly Exercise Classes
  • Monthly London Walks
  • Quiz and Fish & Chips Evenings

Fund Raising For Charity

We have a tradition of supporting good causes. Funds raised on our President’s Days have included donations to London’s Air Ambulance Charity and to the North London Hospice Community Nursing Team

This year we are planning to raise funds for the North London Samaritans which provides specialist support to people living in the Boroughs of Barnet, Enfield and Haringey.
